towards a brighter tomorrow

My friends’ book on college access for Black, Latino/a, and Asian American students in 10 different California high schools just came out. It looks fabulous (glad to see Asian Americans included) and I plan to use chunks of it in our doctoral seminar on college access/soc of ed next semester. Both Erin and Kim were in my cohort at UCLA. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting around a seminar table in our first-year classes and then walking home to Weyburn Terrace. Time flies…congrats Drs. Kimura-Walsh and Griffin!
