My brother is on the board for Operation Exodus, an awesome non-profit that mentors and supports young’uns from the Washington Heights area in NYC. He has been involved with them for almost a decade as a mentor/tutor/hang out person and they do great work. All non-profits are naturally feeling the crunch of the economic crisis, but as Officer Dave Sanderson reminded me in yesterday’s clip (scroll down), we have so much more than we realize. So if you have a buck or two or fifty or more, donate today, and if you’re in NYC and want to hang out with some cool kids (they were in mad hot ballroom!), they always need volunteers.
Speaking of Washington Heights, In the Heights is still on Broadway and is doing a national tour–they’re in Cleveland next week and will be @Pantages in June.
