For the Unlikely Disciple, which I finally finished. It’s a great snapshot of a chunk (one chunk! one chunk! there are many!) of the evangelical community and does a nice job of showing the diversity that exists even within that one chunk. Kevin Roose does a great job of capturing the dissonance, contradictions, and paradoxes of the community–and his own experience in it. A wonderful, well-developed cast of characters. Plus it’s highly entertaining…nerdy beach reading, if you have access to a beach and like to read on it.
