busy april, incoporation

Got back from a busy 48 hours in Austin, TX for the Assoc. for Asian American Studies conference.  Had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and connecting with great new folks, eating ribs/breakfast tacos (delicious), and admiring the wildflowers on the freeway (thank you lady bird for championing highway beautification!).  Then drove up to Columbus and gave a workshop on diversifying the academy with Spark, aka Asst. Professor Sarah Park

Nice article on Don Nakanishi: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-tobar9-2010apr09,0,2015600,full.column

Nice article on incorporation (or lack thereof)  and how it has affected East LA by the one and only Sarah Chilim Ihn: http://works.bepress.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1000&context=sarah_chilim_ihn
